He was brought up in Yenikoy, Istanbul by a mother who is a homemaker and a father who manages a restaurant.
Durmaz moved to Baku after he completed high school to pursue a career as a makeup artist.
He had initially, started his career on social media with short videos that he would upload on the applications Periscope and Snapchat. However, he then moved back to Istanbul to become a DJ.
Durmaz was chosen to be a judge on TV8‘s reality competition series İşte Benim Stilim in the past.
He was injured during a violent attack against the LGBT community on November 30, 2016, during a performance in Samsun.
Kerimcan accidentally uploaded a video of himself to his Instagram story while performing explicit acts on himself in 2019, for which he was criticized.
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, a sentence of 6 months to 1 year was asked for by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding his derogatory statement towards people above the age of 65. His words were “Get out and die. Some of you will die, and we as young people will continue to be, do you want this?”.
He joined the YouTube community with his self-titled channel on November 11, 2019. However, Kerimcan uploaded his first video to the channel on November 15, that year. It was titled Kerimcan Durmaz | New York Vlog | New York’u birbirine kattım!.
On February 26, 2021, Kerimcan released his debut track titled Peşimde and by the end of March 2021, he had more than 18 million views.
