According to Teresa Giudice, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Giacinto Gorga, her father, is “struggling.” People Magazine reported on an Instagram post from the reality star in which she asked for fans’ thoughts and prayers as her father fights through a health crisis.
The 47-year-old reality star shared on the social media platform that she wanted her fans to send well wishes to help Giacinto push through a difficult time. The RHONJ star claimed she and her daughters needed him to live.
In addition to the heartfelt message, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum posted a photo of her dad alongside her daughters, including Audriana, Milania, Gabriella, and Gia, who are 11, 15, 16, and 18, respectively.
Fans online were eager to find out if Gorga was dealing with the coronavirus, but Teresa never revealed what he was dealing with. Regardless, Giudice and her four daughters have been living in self-isolation like the rest of the United States population.
RHONJ fans understand that Gorga’s health has been in peril for a long time now, including earlier this year when Giudice had to bail on BravoCon because of her father. Teresa confirmed she had to leave the event to take her father to the hospital.

On her Instagram Story, Giudice said “sorry,” and explained she had to leave because her father wasn’t feeling so good. Around a month later, Teresa explained that Gorga wasn’t doing well, and his “breathing was still bad.”
As most know, this makes Giacinto particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus because of its effects on the respiratory system. Moreover, it’s not uncommon for patients infected with COVID-19 to contract pneumonia, which Gorga already had in November 2017.
As was noted above, Giudice never revealed if her father was fighting the coronavirus, however, a few other entertainment industry workers have died from it this past week, including the Star Wars alum, Andrew Jack, who also worked as a dialect coach and actor.
